The Show Must Go On: An IABC Developmental Luncheon at the Historic Academy of Music Theatre

Geoffrey Kershner

Brittany Griffith

The Academy of Music Theatre in Downtown Lynchburg closed its doors in 1958, marking the end of an era in the Hill City. Once boasting nine theaters, the city now had none.

In 2018, sixty years after what many believed was the final curtain, the newly renovated Academy of Music Theatre opened its doors again.

Join IABC Lynchburg inside the theatre on Nov. 19, as the Academy Center of the Arts’ Geoffrey Kershner and Brittany Griffith discuss the theatre’s history, reopening, marketing efforts and future plans.

Location: Academy of Music Theatre • 524 Main Street

Date & Time:  Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019 • 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.

Cost: IABC Member – $25 / Non-member – $35
